The Presidency of the Republic publishes the following communiqué:

The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the New Units of the Sines Refinery, where he delivered a speech.

The President of the Republic requested from the Constitutional Court, following doubts arisen as to its conformity with the Constitution, the administrative supervision of the rule comprised in §1 of article Mo. 8, when considered jointly with the rules contained in articles Nos. 4 & 5 of the Annex to Parliamentary Decree No. 128/XII, that “Creates the Sports Arbitration Court and approves the respective legislation”.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Speaker of the national Parliament of east Timor, Vicente Guterres.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, Dr. Vítor Bento.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, Ambassador Manuel Gonçalves de Jesus, to whom he delivered letters credential as Portugal’s diplomatic representative in Dili, East Timor.

President Cavaco Silva received, in audience, Ambassador Mário Godinho de Matos, to whom he delivered letters credential as Portugal’s diplomatic representative in Moscow, Russia.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, Ambassador José Augusto Duarte, to whom he delivered letters credential as Portugal’s diplomatic representative in Maputo, Mozambique.

The President of the Republic will undertake official visits to Colombia and Peru, at the invitation of his respective counterparts, from April 15 to April 19, instant.

The President of the Republic addressed a message to Parliament concerning the enacting of the bill that determines the competences, the structure and the operational procedures of the National Aeronautical Authority.
