The Presidency of the Portuguese Republic collects personal data via the Contact Form on its website, for the purpose of handling messages and requests. The data requested are intended exclusively for the purpose of replying to messages, in accordance with Article 6 (1) (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and are subsequently retained for the purpose of archiving in the public interest.
Requests may be forwarded to the competent authority for processing, under the terms of Article 41 of the CPA (Code of Administrative Procedure), which fact is made known to the data subject.
The following data are collected on the users of its website: date and time of the request, IP (internet protocol) address, type of browser used by the user and the pages accessed. These data are kept for a maximum period of 90 days. The personal data collected are not subjected to any analysis, unless there are possible security implications, in which case, following analysis they are communicated to the competent authorities.
Under the GDPR, data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, objection, restriction and erasure of personal data concerning them. The website of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic uses cookies and other similar technologies in order to improve the website performance and the browsing experience of its users. These technologies increase the speed and efficiency of the response, help to recognise the user's device on the next visit and eliminate the need to repeat the introduction of options, which are often essential for the correct and smooth functioning of the website.
The cookies used are as follows:
- Essential - necessary for navigation on the website of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, i.e. session cookies.
