The Presidency of the Portuguese Republic collects personal data via the Contact Form on its website, for the purpose of handling messages and requests. The data requested are intended exclusively for the purpose of replying to messages, in accordance with Article 6 (1) (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and are subsequently retained for the purpose of archiving in the public interest.
Requests may be forwarded to the competent authority for processing, under the terms of Article 41 of the CPA (Code of Administrative Procedure), which fact is made known to the data subject.
The following data are collected on the users of its website: date and time of the request, IP (internet protocol) address, type of browser used by the user and the pages accessed. These data are kept for a maximum period of 90 days. The personal data collected are not subjected to any analysis, unless there are possible security implications, in which case, following analysis they are communicated to the competent authorities.
Under the GDPR, data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, objection, restriction and erasure of personal data concerning them. These rights may be exercised by contacting the data protection officer of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, in writing, at the following email address: email@example.com
The cookies used are as follows:
- Essential - necessary for navigation on the website of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, i.e. session cookies.
- Analytical - necessary to collect information for statistical analysis of the navigation and use of the website of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, i.e. Google, without tracking the user's IP.
- Contact form - necessary for the correct completion of the form; a session cookie is used, consisting of a randomly generated identification number, which is deleted at the end of the session when the user closes their browser.
- Social Networks - possibility of interaction with social networks, e.g. YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
